Welcome to the Greater Wyoming Council

Spanning over half of the State of Wyoming, the Greater Wyoming Council of the Boy Scouts of America provides service for youth from age 5 to 21. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for both boys and girls, as well as young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

Through earning the Bird Study merit badge, Scouts will learn about why birds are important and how bird study can discover vital environtal health indicators. This pamphlet will walk Scouts through all of the requirements to earn their Bird Study merit badge.
