Welcome to the Greater Wyoming Council

Spanning over half of the State of Wyoming, the Greater Wyoming Council of the Boy Scouts of America provides service for youth from age 5 to 21. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for both boys and girls, as well as young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

This merit badge pamphlet will guide Scouts through earning the Fingerprinting merit badge! In the process of using this pamphlet to earn this badge, Scouts will learn about and use an important technique that is employed by law enforcement officers to help identify amnesia victims, missing persons, abducted children, and others.
