Welcome to the Greater Wyoming Council

Spanning over half of the State of Wyoming, the Greater Wyoming Council of the Boy Scouts of America provides service for youth from age 5 to 21. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for both boys and girls, as well as young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

Description

This merit badge pamphlet lays the groundwork for Scouts to earn the Engineering merit badge! The pamphlet covers the background of what engineering is, where it is present in our everyday lives, requirements for earning the Engineering merit badge, and even career choices in the field! Through earning this merit badge, Scouts will get to disect a household appliance and apply their knowledge to figure out how and why it works, along with meeting a professional engineer.
