Welcome to the Greater Wyoming Council

Spanning over half of the State of Wyoming, the Greater Wyoming Council of the Boy Scouts of America provides service for youth from age 5 to 21. The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America, incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916, is to provide an educational program for both boys and girls, as well as young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

Greater Wyoming Council is proud to help with the molding of Wyoming's youth in to tomorrow's leaders.

  • Lifesaving Merit Badge Pamphlet

This merit badge pamphlet gives Scouts all the information they need to earn the Lifesaving merit badge. Through earning this badge, Scouts will gain the skills needed to assist those involved in water accidents by teaching them rescue techniques, along with the judgement to know when and how to act in those emergency situations. Earning the Lifesaving (or Emergency Preparedness) merit badge satisfies a requirement for earning the Eagle Scout rank.
